[REVIEW] : #GIRLBOSS: Failure is Your Invention

I really can’t afford not to say this: #GIRLBOSS is a great book that you have to experience by yourself. This book is not only narrates Shopia Amoruso's from-nothing-to-something-experienced but also takes you to build your own too.

Shopia was a girl who hate school and sent to a psychiatrist who diagnoses her with depression and ADD. She states school was just not her thing. When she was a teenager, she did shoplifting to pay her bills, did some odd jobs, and after went through for seven years hard work, she ends up being the CEO of a $100-million-plus business with fifty-thousand-square-foot-office in Los Angels, a distribution and fulfillment center in Kentucky, and three hundred and fifty employees.
“It’s unfortunate that school is so often regarded as a one-size-fits-all kind of deal. And if it doesn’t fit, you’re treated as if there is something wrong with you; so it is you, not the system, which is failing.” (page 71)
There are (at least) five lessons I learned from this book:

1. Be an alien is better than to lose yourself.
The common mistake is the assumption that people have to be like everyone else instead of being an alien. Though everything went smoothly just a matter of time until you realize that you start to lose yourself.
“When you don’t dress like everyone else, you don’t have to think like everyone else." Iris Apfel (page 216)
2. Life serves who take a risk
For you who plan a lot but still afraid to take an action, this :
“We’re all going to die, it’s a question of when and how- so be brave!” Alexy Wasser”(page 98)
and this :
“My advice to #GirlBosses is to get exicited about the mistake you’ll make.” Leandre Medine (page 215)
3. Dream Big and Work Hard
Lucky is when you arrive just a moment before the bus left. Lucky is not something you can rely on to get success. Dream takes hard work to become real.
“If something’s not working out, but you keep hammering at it in the exact same way, go after something else for a while. That’s not giving up, that’s just letting the universe have its way”(Page 125)
4. ‘Treat your mind like your money; don’t waste it’
When was the last time you thought about people’s opinion?  Last week? Yesterday? Oh crap! Just a minute ago. If you are just like me,  Note this:
“No matter where you are in life, you’ll save a lot of time by not worrying too much about what other people think about you. The earlier in your life that you can learn that, the easier the rest of it will be. You is who is you, so get used to it.”(page 141)

There will be people who underestimate what you do, tell what you should do, but the good news is you don’t need to listen all the voices.

5. Be Confident
Be brave, be confident to be your self and work hard but keep having fun with all those process.
“Confidence is more attractive than anything you could put on your body”.
and the conclusion is :
“Life isn’t about finding yourself. Life is about creating yourself.”- George Benard Show (page 138)
It's only you, who have the privilege to create your own life with your own style. So be brave and be #GIRLBOSS.
